‘Harry Potter’ Fans Celebrate September 1 On Twitter With #BackToHogwarts & Facebook With Harry Potter Group.
"Harry Potter" fans can visit the Hogwarts Express at Universal Studios in Florida.
Muggles may still have a couple days before they return to school, but the young witches and wizards at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are all aboard the Hogwarts Express. “Harry Potter” fans will remember that every year the train – which runs between King’s Cross Station Platform 9 3/4 and Hogsmeade Station – departs on Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. sharp.
Fans of the beloved “Harry Potter” franchise took to Twitter on Sept. 1 to post about the Hogwarts Express. Shortly after 11 a.m. EDT, #BackToHogwarts began trending on the social media site.
“I wish I was going #BackToHogwarts,” some Twitter users posted Monday morning. Others took the social media platform to tweet their desired house name – Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor and Slytherin.
The first “Harry Potter” book, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” was released on June 26, 1997. The novel introduced Harry Potter, a young boy who had no idea that he was a famous wizard until his 11th birthday. After receiving his Hogwart’s acceptance letter, Harry Potter was introduced to the wizarding world through Hagrid, the Hogwarts groundskeeper. A short time after gathering his school supplies and visiting his family vault, Harry Potter traveled to King’s Cross Station in London on Sept. 1 – however Platform 9 3/4 did not exist. Thanks to a family of red heads (the Weasley’s), Harry discovered that he must walk through the barrier between platforms nine and 10 to access the train to Hogwarts. At 11 a.m. the Hogwarts Express departed, taking Harry to his first year at the famous school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Daniel Radcliffe won't return as Harry Potter, in spite of new JK Rowling story.

A new story about an older Harry appeared on Pottermore, but the actor seems unwilling to make a comeback in the role.
Harry Potter returns, aged 34, in new JK Rowling post.

Daniel Radcliffe remains unconvinced that he will ever take to the big screen again as Harry Potter, despite the publication of an online updateabout the grown-up boy wizard by author JK Rowling.
Rowling published the piece on 8 July via her Pottermore website to tie in with the current football World Cup. In the form of a gossip piece by the wizarding world's notorious journalist Rita Skeeter, it details a visit by Potter and his family to the Quidditch equivalent in Patagonia. Harry is revealed to be 34, with two children and a few "threads of silver" in his black hair. Working as an Auror for the ministry of magic, he has a mysterious cut on one cheekbone which – it is speculated – might be the result of his work hunting dark wizards.
Speaking in New York to promote his TV series A Young Doctor's Notebook, Radcliffe said he would read the 1,500-word piece but did not expect it to lead to further films. "My inclination is to say 'no' because I don't think it's even a hypothetical at the moment," he told reporters. "What she's written – and I haven't read it yet but I will – I understand it's a very short piece. And he's 10 years older than I am now."
The 24-year-old actor admitted his decision to focus on independent cinema and TV drama rather than blockbuster fare might have been a reaction to an eight-film stint as Potter hailing back to his debut as an 11-year-old in 2001's Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. "I think it is connected to Potter, but maybe not in the way everyone thinks," he said. "What it is, I played only one character for such a long time, I think there's a little bit of envy and desire to try as many different things as possible. Now that I'm in that position, I'm trying to while the getting is good."
Film industry observers have been speculating about which studio might own the screen rights to the new Rowling story: Pottermore was a collaboration with Sony until April 2014, but the Potter films were funded by rival Warner Brothers. But fans wanting another glimpse of Hogwarts are more likely to get their wishes when the Rowling-scripted fantasy Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arrives in cinemas for November 2016.
The new film, which Warner Bros and Rowling revealed in September last year, will feature the swashbuckling adventurer Newt Scamander and is set 70 years before the events of Philosopher's Stone. The title is borrowed from the first-year textbook that Potter uses at Hogwarts in the novel. Rowling will write her debut screenplay for the film, which is expected to be the first of a trilogy.
Radcliffe said in October that he would not rule out a cameo in Fantastic Beasts, but felt in his heart that he was unlikely to return as Potter. "I don't think I'm going to be coming back," he told the Hollywood Reporter. "We can't be doing these characters when we're 40, so there has to be a line drawn."

JK Rowling pens new Harry Potter story on Pottermore: Introducing 'Singing Sorceress' Celestina Warbuck.

has introduced a new character into the Harry Potter world, known as “the Singing Sorceress”.
The British author released Celestina Warbeck’s 500-word biography on official fan websitePottermore yesterday, presenting her for the first time after she failed to appear properly in any of the past seven wizard books.
Celestina was first heard singing in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (in chapter 16, to be precise), with lyrics including “Oh, come and stir my cauldron/ And if you do it right/ I’ll boil you up some hot, strong love/ To keep you warm tonight”. It’s saucy stuff.
Celestina is Ron Weasley’s mum’s singer of choice, and one of Rowling’s favourite “off-stage characters”. She is of half-blood origin, is in Gryffindor, and enjoys breeding rough-coated Crups.
Readers see her name, which Rowling “stole” from a former Amnesty International colleague, mentioned another two times in the series. “’Celestina’ was simply begging to be scooped up and attached to a glamourous witch,” the writer said.

You can read Celestina’s story in full in the ‘Floo Room’ onPottermore, but here’s an extract:
“Internationally-acclaimed singing sensation Celestina Warbeck (sometimes known as ‘the Singing Sorceress’) hails from Wales. Her father, a minor functionary in the Muggle Liaison Office, met her Muggle mother (a failed actress) when the latter was attacked by a Lethifold disguised as a stage curtain.
“Celestina’s extraordinary voice was apparent from an early age. Disappointed to learn that there was no such thing as a wizarding stage school, Mrs Warbeck reluctantly consented to her daughter's enrollment at Hogwarts, but subsequently bombarded the school with letters urging the creation of a choir, theatre club and dancing class to showcase her daughter's talents.”
For the more dedicated Potter fans among us, you can listen to Celestina’s Shirley Bassey-esque single “You Stole My Cauldron But You Can’t Have My Heart” on the site, but you have to be a member and you have to “unlock” it by playing interactive games.
Rowling published another Harry Potter story in early July, about "greying" Harry’s life in his mid-30s.

J.K. Rowling Just Released ANOTHER New ‘Harry Potter’ Story.

“Harry Potter” fans, here’s some music for your ears: J.K. Rowling has released yet another new tale set in the Wizarding World.
As with Rowling’s recent update on the lives of Harry, Ron and Hermione, the acclaimed “Potter” author has dipped back into the magical well to tell the tale of singer and sorceress Celestina Warbeck. The Pottermore story, released via Today.com, is a quick biography chronicling the life and times of Ms. Warbeck, someone who Rowling describes as one of her “favorite ‘off-stage’ characters in the Harry Potter series.”

According to the story, Warbeck is a Hogwarts graduate (Gryffindor for the win) who only attended the famous School of Witchcraft and Wizardry because there are no “wizarding stage schools” in this magical world. Celestina’s mother consistently “bombarded the school with letters urging the creation of a choir, theatre club and dancing class to showcase her daughter’s talents.”
The work paid off, as Celestina grew up to become one of the most famous performers in the Wizarding World. Sometimes referred to as “the Singing Sorceress,” Celestina went on to much fame, fortune and fanfare, releasing and performing record-setting songs like “You Stole My Cauldron, But You Can’t Have My Heart.” Watch the video below to see her perform that song alongside her backing group, The Banshees:
